Hi I'm Brad

I grew up in Wales. I am a Podiatrist, a rugby enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I now live in the US and have done for 15 years... still miss my fish and chips and my family who mostly still reside in the UK... not in that order. I am married and have 3 pre-teen daughters so my house is a fun place to be right now :) Seriously, my wife and kids are the joy of my life and I am a very lucky man. I work as a Podiatrist and love it. We moved to Indiana from Chicago three and a half years ago. We were in Chicago for seven years while I went to school and did a three year surgical residency. Other things about me: I love spending time with my family, I collect antique books, watch as much Rugby as I can find on American TV channels, love reading historical fiction and playing racquetball weekly in a vain attempt to stay in shape! I was also lucky enough to serve a two year mission for my church in the north of England at the age of 20 which was an amazing and life changing experience.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the Church before they were married. Being brought up in the church was a happy experience for me. Being a member of the church helped me to make good decisions early on in life and helped me avoid some of the troubles others my age were having. The church has not only been a moral compass for my life but has also provided many wonderful spiritual experiences and helped me develop a relationship with the Savior. Through my membership I have been able to meet and develop friendships with some incredible people, many of whom I met on my mission in England. My life would have followed a completely different path without the gospel. The more I learn, the more I want to learn and the stronger my faith grows. It's a wonderful life :)

How I live my faith

In our home, it is in the prayers we have as a family, the weekly family nights where we talk about the gospel, the books we read, the service we give to each other and in the uplifting music we listen to. It is also in the way we talk to each other and the subjects of discussions in our home. One of the leaders of our church said 'the greatest work we will ever do will be within the walls of our own homes' and I truly believe that. Outside of the home, I am involved in teaching in church on Sundays and helping to organize various church related activities. I love teaching and sharing how the gospel has impacted my life. We also try to serve each other and the community as much as possible. The church is very service based and to be involved with this a privilege and brings a lot of satisfaction.
