Hi I'm Aubry

I'm a college graduate, a wife to an enthusiastic husband, a mom to a darling little girl, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a great family as the oldest of four and my mom was right...my family became my best friends! I went to college, married an honorable and hard working man, met some of my dearest friends, worked in different OB/GYN offices, and miraculously became a mom to a little girl who is chuck full of character! I am so blessed! I enjoy playing sports but dislike running. However, I recently put my dislikes aside and trained for and completed a half marathon! I love music and have taught piano lessons since high school. I craft whenever I can and I sure enjoy good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have goodly parents who taught me the gospel since birth. One day a week we had what we call Family Home Evening where we prayed together, sang together, were taught the gospel, played games together, and always had dessert! In one of these family home evening lessons, my father taught us about the prophet, Joseph Smith. He taught us about Joseph's first vision and read to us using Joseph Smith's own words. He then bore testimony that he knew those words were true and he promised us that we could know if they were true for ourselves. I went to my room that night, knelt beside my bed, and asked God if Joseph Smith really saw what he said he saw. I will never forget the confirmation of truth I felt that night. I knew it was true and because it was true, I knew that the Book of Mormon was the word of God and that the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contained the fullness of the Savior's gospel on the earth. I knew that I was a daughter of God; that He knew me and that His son, Jesus Christ, atoned for me individually. I'm a mormon because that truth still rings in my heart today. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings hope and clarity and true happiness to my life.

How I live my faith

Our family continues to have Family Home Evening each week and we try to involve our neighbors and friends when possible. We enjoy spending time together and learning the gospel with each other. I also attend chuch each week and have the privelege of volunteering in the children's organization teaching the 5&6 year olds on Sunday. I love being able to teach them basic gospel principles, yet I know they teach me more than I teach them. Their simple, pure faith is a great example to me! I also get to work with the 8-11 year old girls twice a month. We participate in activities that center around Learning and Living the Gospel, Serving Others, and Developing Talents. I am so impressed by the goodness of these youth and love being able to serve with them. I daily try to live my faith by studying the scriptures, praying to my Father in Heaven, serving others, and acting in an honest, respectful, virtuous manner. I keep my body clean and free from addictive substances, dress modestly to show respect for myself, and am morally clean. I only read and watch and listen to those things that are wholesome and uplifting. I try to live in a way that is pleasing to God and Jesus Christ.
