Hi I'm Seth

I'm from Missouri. I'm a writer, a student, a friend, a brother. I live to love and I love living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm passionate about reading and writing. Education and gaining more knowledge gives me pleasure. What gives me joy is spending time with any or all of my 11 siblings and amazing parents. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and when my service is completed I intend to attend college, get married, and continue to give service wherever and whenever I find the opportunity. Faith in Jesus Christ involves loving your neighbor. Service is how I show that love. I love music of all sorts. I love to goof off (The village idiot is the only one who finds pleasure in his work). I enjoy intellectual conversations. God has blessed me with life and I live it to it's fullest while still keeping my standards high.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born to parents who were already members of the church. But my love and faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ comes from personal experience. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and I have felt the confirming witness from the Holy Ghost. I know it is true. It has blessed and changed my life. I have joy and love in my family, respect and trust in others and myself. The Book of Mormon, indeed the gospel of Jesus Christ offers Hope and Light in an ever darkening society.

How I live my faith

Jesus said to be a light (example) to others. I do that by giving service often to help lift others who are struggling and I find joy in that service. I love studying the scriptures. I enjoy teaching and participating in Sunday school and other church activities. Having high moral standards can be difficult in society today but my friends know what is and is not appropriate in conversations and activities around me and they respect that. I think it inspires them too. Showing respect to others builds self respect and self confidence. I respect what my peers believe and they show that same respect to me. It works out. And having higher morals builds stronger relationships.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Seth
The message the missionaries bring is one of hope and happiness. The message is centered on Jesus Christ. They teach about our Heavenly Father's plan for us, His children. Maybe you've asked yourself - or a friend or loved one has asked you, "What is the purpose to this life anyway". Maybe you've wondered what your true relationship with God is. Maybe you're uncertain about what happens to you and your loved ones after death. Maybe you're curious to know what the difference between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and any other church is. In every case the missionaries will help you find the answers through the scriptures. Show more Show less
