Hi I'm Windi MacLeod

I am a daycare provider from California, I have an art degree, and a very busy family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A Domestic Goddess is what I have always wanted to be...... and in my second marriage I finally got it! I got married in Jan 2011 to my new husband and couldn't be happier!! We are welcoming our first child into the world in November. My other kids from my previous marriage love being a family again with a mom and dad. I have an art degree and love to make, create, design, and manufacture anything fun and exciting. I also love to cook and design chocolates each year for Christmas. We are preparing to buy our first house together and we are so excited. A lot of changes and upgrades in all aspects of our lives and it is so amazing how everything falls into place.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I liked to way I felt when I went to church with my family. I got baptized at 8 years old and loved going to church. It wasn't until I was about 14 or 15 when I truly received my testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I came from a divorced family and It was very difficult to feel like everyone else who had an all member family. I didn't let that stop me though. I wanted to know if all of these things I was taught from a young age was really true. So, one night after completing the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life cover to cover, I got down on my knees and prayed. There is a promise that if you ask of God if these things are true, he will answer you. Having faith that that was going to happen, I prayed really hard for about 35 minutes about what I read, how I felt when I read the Book of Mormon, and asked if it was all true. I waited there for about 5 minutes in silence wondering what will happen. And then, it started in my toes and worked its way up to my head engulfing me in the spirit of the Lord, witnessing to me that everything was true. I have never felt a stronger feeling than that in my life. It was amazing to me that the Lord heard my prayer and answered it. He knew me and what I needed at that time in my life. I will never forget it and how it made me feel safe, comforted, and at peace.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday!!!!! We pray every morning before my kids go to school, at meal times, at church, when we have questions, concerns, have major decisions to make, and especially before bed. We try to serve others around us, be friendly to all we come in contact with, and try to be Christ like when driving! We serve at church as Temple preparation teachers, visiting teachers, and in the boy scout young men program. We have family home evening on Mondays to teach our children the gospel, we go to as many meetings as we can physically get to, visit families and woman in our ward where we live. We love visiting because we get to know others around us and have new friends where ever we go. I have always felt that what ever faith you are, you should be living it everyday and not just twice a year for Christmas or Easter, but everyday to show the Lord you love him. You do what you can to dedicate yourself to the Lord and the blessings will come as a result.
