Hi I'm Jeannie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 8 children and grandmother of 13 and counting grandhildren. One of my children was born mentally handicapped and gave us great concern but has grown up to bring us great joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I first heard of the Mormon church when I was thirteen. My 2 oldest brothers had been living away from home and were converted to the gospe. They moved home to convert the rest of the family! At first I was not interested but then I saw an article in my own church newsletter where a young woman wrote in and asked if it was ok to marry her "Mormon boyfriend". the awnser of my church was "all Mormons are going to hell and if you marry a Mormon you will go to hell also". This really caught my attention as I could tell my brothers were so much better people for having joined the Mormon church.I decided to find out what they believed. What I found was a people with a stron faith centered in Jesus Christ as the Dreator and Redeemer of the world who believe that God cares enough about mankind to still speak to us through living prophets and apostles. My parents and I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1967 when I was foourteen. My membership in the Church blesses my life everyday. I have a wonderful husband, eight beautiful children and thirteen and counting grandchildren.

How I live my faith

In my church I teach singing in the childrens organization called Primary. This is a very fun calling where I get to interacte with children 18 months through 12 years of age. I also visit several women to see to their needs. Recently one of these dear women passed away and it was a priviledge to be asked to speak at her funeral.
