Hi I'm Sara

I'm a Mormon. I like to work in retail because I actually love to walk around and stand while I work.

About Me

I am about four years into learning how to write novellas and novels. I also like to write poetry. In my mid forties, I am just now attempting to get published. Also, I like to make watercolor and ink paintings of mothers and children. With the encouragement of the missionaries and the Bishop of my church, I am taking steps to get into local art shows for the first time in my life. I like to work retail because I enjoy walking around and being very active while I work. I have lost 70 pounds and look forward to losing more so that I can try out farm work or outdoor work, which I used to love in high school. My daughter, who is my only child, is in college. It is my goal in life to be the best mother I can be and to hopefully, in the right timing, be an excellent grandmother some day. Soon I will be an aunt and just cannot wait to read stories aloud, make forts out of refrigerator boxes, and have fun helping my brother and his wife with their child.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the missionaries cared enough to knock on my door and share the gospel. Although I wasn't wrapped up in a "bad lifestyle", per se, when they visited, I had fallen away from my previous church community, and felt a lot of isolation due to having moved back to the area after being 10 years in another state. I needed to reconnect to caring people and then found many friends in the Relief Society where I look forward to trying out as many different hats as possible so that I may find my best way of contribution. The Relief Society has been so supportive in my efforts to discover a career. The president is such a caring woman. I am grateful.

How I live my faith

As I am a new member, I am busy right now with reading the Bible, and the Book of Mormon. I try to make it to all the services that I can. I aspire to be of service to the church and the community in which I live.
