Hi I'm Kaylene

I'm a native of Utah, but have lived my adult life in New York, Maryland, Oregon and Colorado. I love life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Life for me is about family. I love sharing and making memories with my husband, children and grandchildren. I take great pride in my ambition to be self reliant, caring and giving. I love gardening, music, being crafty and watercoloring. Traveling is always a pleasure for me. Nature is my inspiration for all the things I enjoy. I raised my children on seven acres in Oregon surrounded my evergreens. I am now enjoying the most beautiful sunsets God has provided in Colorado. I am often found outdoors taking pictures and more often found indoors watercoloring. I have a testimony of God's plan for me and I trust in His plan.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is precious and I know God loves us all. I see a bigger picture than the worldly explanation of why we are here. I have the gift of faith and with that gift I know there is greater good and greater wisdom in God's purpose for all of us. He loves us and wants us to someday return to Him. There is truth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are answers to questions that we all have, one must only ask. I am a Mormon because I believe in modern day revelation and I believe in one true religion. All religions have good, but Christ came to earth to establish His church and after years and decades of abuse, that organization of His church was corrupted. I know His church has been restored in our day. This truth provides my life with understanding, organization, purpose, peace and fulfilment. I am truly blessed because of my faith.

How I live my faith

My life in the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been a life of service. I have mentored the youth, visited the sick, watched over little ones, organized events, participated in Girl's Camp, helped with Boy Scouts, provided meals, sung in choirs, comforted the weary, taught many, many lessons and attended more meetings than I can count. The list goes on. I am a richly blessed soul because of my service. I have never been paid a cent for my contribution. I am paid in love from my Heavenly Father and fellow saints. My service enriches my life and has made me who I am today.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The LDS Religion is founded on agency. We are encouraged to study public policy and come to our own conclusions. It is my civic and moral duty to get involved in elections and to stand firm for what I believe is vital in sustaining an honest, fair and effective government and community. Show more Show less
