Hi I'm Verle

I'm a Mormon. I am a 5th Generation Mormon and appreciate all the opportunities the Lord has given me to serve these 70+ years.

About Me

I am grateful that my vocation as a Veterinarian gave me an opportunity to serve people and their pets for 45+ years.I have found service to others is a key to happiness in this life. I am grateful for my Eternal mate, my wife, whom I love very much. Our Church Education Service Mission together in Alaska teaching the 18 to 30 year olds was a great joy in our lives. My love in life is being a husband, father of a wonderful daughter and three wonderful sons, a grandfather and great grandfather.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism is a way of life and a wonderful way of life. The commandments do not limit me and my family but give us the ability to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. Opportunities for spiritual growth occur in my life continually. My wife and I marvel at the strength of our children in the Gospel and we learn so much from them as they do what we used to be able to do. I am so grateful for the Temples where my family is Sealed together for Eternity. I testify that this is a true reality and is avaliable to everyone in the world. I appreciate my ancestors and through their many struggles still staying strong in the faith. The Temple work, for them, we have participated in has brought us closer in Spirit.

How I live my faith

I have always accepted callings in the Gospel that have been offered me as I know they are from the Lord. The Lord has accepted me with my weaknesses and has given me the strength necessary to grow into these callings. Through the many years I have come to understand in greater depth that it is not the calling that will save us but what we do with that calling. This was one of the many things I learned from my parents, whom I love, as they served with diligence. My wife has taught me through her example that unconditional Love which is also the Saviors love. One of the callings I received was to serve as Stake President, by the Lord, through his chosen servant Elder Franklin D. Richards The Interview was on Saturday and after I and my councilors and clerks were called, Elder Richards said would you please have the Stake organized by Sunday morning. It was a late night for us but the promptings of the Holy Ghost guided us that evening to accomplish the task and gave me a deeper testimony of the love that our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ have for each of us. They know each of us individually and want each of us to succeed in the righteous desires of our hearts. I am grateful for the Atonement which gives me the opportunity to repent of my sins and come closer to my Savior; as is so for each of us.
