Hi I'm Marc

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy in life is being a father. My wife and I have been married for 39 Years. We have 11 children. They have been the joy of my life. How are large families possible? A lot of faith and prayer and hard work. God has dearly blessed us. I will be ever indebted to Him for His help in our family. My wife and I are empty nesters now. We always look forward to visiting with the grandchildren. This family, even though it has been a lot of work and required sacrifice and patience and pleading with God for help, it continues to be an ever increasing joy. We look forward to a continuation of this wonderful family forever. Our family is forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a descendant of Mormon pioneers. I have 23 ancestors in my family history that were the first to join the Church. One is back 4 generations and the others are as far back as 7 generations. I was blessed with wonderful ancestors that loved God and taught this love to their posterity. I'll be forever indebted to them for the love and sacrifice they gave for me. Because of the teachings of my parents and grandparents and others who loved me, I came to know of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I read the Book of Mormon, I feel such sweet beautiful confirmations that it is true. I was not pressured in any way. I was loved. I came to know for myself that it is true and that living by the teachings of Jesus Christ and his prophets, I will be blessed with joy and the marvelous blessings promised in the scriptures. I have had sons that served as missionaries for 2 years in the countries of Brazil, Russia, Philippines, as well as states in the USA. Among my children and their spouses there are a Computer Programer, 2 Phd's College professors, Masters Degree Business Manager, 2 School Teachers, carpenters, students, and best of all mothers. I love them all and am so greatfull for the wonderful opportunities I have had to know God in my life and to look forward to a forever family in the worlds to come. This is such joy me.

How I live my faith

All of my life I have served in the church in some way. It is a marvelous way to learn the blessing of service and to create brotherhood. The Church is mostly run by volunteer help. I've had opportunities to teach classes, speak in church, work in Boy Scouts. I've had leadership positions as well. Right now I'm president of the Sunday School organization in our Stake. We have 8 congregations (wards) in our stake and I and my presidency have the opportunity to assist as a resource to train and teach ward Sunday School presidencies in their duties and assist them in any way. Our goal also is to help improve gospel teaching in the stake and wards. It is so beautiful to feel the love of the people and the love that God has for us as we serve. The principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring such joy. To teach these principles to others helps us come to a better understanding of how to live to find much joy. One of the greatest things we have done as a family is hold Family Home Evening each week. We would take turns doing games, choosing and leading songs, giving a devotional or a lesson, and having treats. Every Monday was special. Each person was important. We have such pleasant memories.
