Hi I'm Tim

I am a swim instructor, and i love tennis, soccer, the guitar, the piano, and the deeper meaning of things and a I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to longboard, camp, hike, fish, play sports of any kind of but especially tennis and soccer. I enjoy working with my hands like wood working and playing musical instruments like the guitar and piano. I love to learn new things and challenge myself to grow to become something greater. I enjoy working out and trying to keep healthy... with the occasional candy bar :) honestly I like to shop ha. Dressing well and how you hold yourself somewhat shows parts about you. I think looking presentable shows you have respect about yourself. Currently I am filling out my mission papers and working at my local indoor pool, teaching swim lessons. I love the job and it pays well but I have to get out on the field ASAP. Otherwise I would be going to school to be a holistic medicine practitioner. Maybe in two years that will change but we shall see.

Why I am a Mormon

I think everyone goes through difficult times in there life. During that time in my life I needed answers, truth, and a purpose I could set my sails to, to become something that really counted. Being a member sense birth, I grew up around Mormon culture and my family were members too. I had experiences that built a good foundation for a testimony but never sealed it for me. I was always borrowing someone else's light which was sure to fade and deep down, I knew that. While I was being a worldly teen, doing this and that, trying new things, getting into trouble, and disregarding what others thought or said. After it was all said and done, it was unsatisfactory. It left me with a deep thirst for more... something not as shallow or meaningless. Relationships that last, were healthy, and that truly went deep, were what I was really looking for. I wanted people with values and standards who were striving to be better. So I started to come back to church. Knowing this is the place where they could be found. I started reading my scriptures, praying, and seriously trying to repent. Coming closer and closer to god and finally reading the book of Mormon, I knew I was in the right place. After truly realizing that someone died so that I might live, made a strong fire burn within me. Feeling Christ's hand in my life by the atonement and his loving forgiveness made me want to help others feel the immense satisfaction and relief that comes through repentance and through the loving gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope all can find such durable fulfillment as i have. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

the first thing i think of is work. everyone at my work knows i am Mormon. I have had many deep reality like conversations with co-workers and i have sparked many interests with my solid remarks but nothing more yet. In church i am on the activities committee and in the ward missionary committee. I also have a set of people i personally, with a companion who is also in my ward, that i go and teach lessons and get to know. i am also there for them if anything my happen that they need an extra hand or for some reason they are in need of help. that is a responsibility for all members that they have a set of individuals and there are also assigned there own to come and teach them.
