Hi I'm Michaela

I lived in China for 2 and 1/2 years. I love dance, music, art, also smiling,"smiling is my favorite," and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to dance, sing, and play the piano. Most of all I love to laugh and smile :) I am a high school graduate with an AA degree. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in the Little Rock, Arkansas mission, Spanish speaking! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the Church and I can't think of a greater blessing than to have parents that love me enough to introduce me to the knowledge that I am a child of God at an early age. That simple statement has really changed my life and perspective. Knowing that I am a child of God reminds me of my divine nature and my responsibility to live up to those standards. This statement helps me to remember the worth of every soul and helps me to be kinder and sympathetic to everyone I meet because we are all children of God and are all going through tests and trials while here on earth. I am so excited to be able to share with those I meet on my mission the great message that we have a Father in Heaven and that He not only loves us beyond anything we can understand in this life but also wants to bless, guide, help, and uplift us. He wants us to be happy. And I am so grateful for that knowledge and the opportunity to share it with others!

How I live my faith

I have had a few callings such as ward pianist and chorister which I have absolutely loved. Being able to share your testimony through music is so powerful and is such an important aspect of worship in which the Spirit can be felt so strongly. I am currently a Primary teacher, teaching the Valiant 8 class - children turning 9 years old. It is such an amazing experience watching these children learn and strengthen their faith and testimonies of Jesus Christ. They have such a sweet understanding and love of their Savior, that they are really teaching me more than I am teaching them.
