Hi I'm Ann

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Salt Lake City.

About Me

I have recently retired from the work force. My sweet husband passed away 18 years ago. He is greatly missed. My joy comes from being the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 8. I am new to retirement and plan to revisit some hobbies I have enjoyed in the past like sewing, painting and taking classes at the community college.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young child, about 4 or 5 I was very worried. I had attended a funeral with my grandparents. My Grandpa's brother had passed away. I kept thinking and thinking about my Great Uncle. Where was this Great Uncle now? Was he just in the ground? Will this happen to me? I finally asked my Grandpa about Great Uncle. Grandpa was so kind to me. He folded up his newspaper and we had a talk. He told me that after Jesus died he rose from the grave and broke the bands of death. He then explained to me that all of God's children will rise from the grave. Than answered by question about our body staying the in grave. Grandpa said our spirits went to the spirit world. This made a big impression on me. My worries were gone! Somehow I knew what he told me was true. Now that I am older, I know that the Holy Ghost testified to me that the teaching Grandpa gave me was the truth and Grandpa had explained the Plan of Salvation to me. Heavenly Father loves all of us and has made a plan of happiness for each of us. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by obeying the commandments and showing kindness to everyone. This is not always easy. I am thankful that each day I can start fresh because of the gift of repentance.
