Hi I'm Garrett

I am a positive outgoing teen. I am a swimmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have done quite a few things in my lifetime. I have lived across the U.S. and I have lived in Germany. I learned how to snow ski before I was three in Austria. I have visited many of the fifty states. I have been LDS for my whole life. I was the first born to loving parents and now the oldest of five. I love to do sports, especially swimming, at my high school. I also love to read, especially anything by Brandon Sanderson. I love to give meaningful service to others and the joy I get from doing it. I will be serving the next two years of my life in Reno Nevada serving a full time mission for the church and I cannot wait for this wonderful opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for my whole life. I am a Latter Day Saint because I choose to be. I strive to follow the gospel and learn from the Bible and the Book of Mormon as much as I can. Thanks to the gospel of Jesus Christ I know where I am going and what my purpose here on the earth is. The church has helped me understand more than I could have from anyone else on this earth. I know that my Father in Heaven loves everyone of us and that his son, Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I know that they appeared to the prophet Joseph Smith and restored his Church through Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testimony of Christ and bears record of him. I know that President Monson is the Prophet of the Lord and reveals to us His words and His intentions for us. I know that we are all here for specific reasons. We were all saved for these days for important reasons. I know that we can be forgiven of anything through Christ. I know that he loves me and everyone else very much. I know that he all wants us to return to him and to become like him.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith by living the standards that have been given. I am kind to everyone I meet. I do this because I don't know other peoples lives yet I want to be able to help others and build them up. The world is constantly tearing us down and I want to be someone that others can come to to be lifted up and be happier. I am actively involved in my church and I was in school as well. In school I was able be an example to others in sports and in school life. In church I had the opportunity as a youth to be able to serve in leadership positions and there be able to build others up, lead them and serve them. Through the church I have been able to give meaningful service to others and be able to make their lives better. I am also blessed with the opportunity to be able to serve a two year mission for the church. This will let me be able to serve others and be able to teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This opportunity will bless me in many different ways and I cannot wait to be able to serve my God full time.
