Hi I'm Eric

I am a proud American from Burley, Idaho, currently serving in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission.

About Me

I went to Burley High School and graduated in May of 2011. I am in a family of seven and have lived in Burley Idaho for six years. I am a gamer and enjoy multiplayer parties with my friends. I also love to read a lot of popular books.I love memes and other funny things on the internet. I am on a Mission for the Lord and I am loving the work I am doing. In the future I hope to do some officer training for the military and go into one of the branches to serve my country. I love to hang out with my friends and enjoy life. I love to act and theater is one of the fields I wish to pursue. I am a friend to everyone and I try to understand where other people are coming from.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Latter-Day Saint since the day I was born. I believe that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ and my testimony is built upon that knowledge. I continue to follow in faith because I honestly believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived and died for us and that he lives again. I may not have been there to see him perform miracles, but I have grown in faith and can never deny the truth. My testimony is that the Lord lives, Joseph Smith was a true Prophet and was a martyr for a worthy cause. I will do my best as a missionary, to be like my savior and bring others to this restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I follow the commandments and share the gospel with friends and people I meet. I go to Church every Sunday and do my best to be honest in all of my dealings with those I work with. I am also an Elder of the Priesthood and take my calling and power seriously. I go about doing good for my community and helping those in need.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are key to our Heavenly Fathers Plan of Salvation. Through the family we are able to practice loving one another and bring more of Gods spirit children into this life. "Adam fell that man might be." This is so true, if Adam and Eve never left the Garden we would still be in heaven and not gain mortal bodies. This would have stopped our Fathers plan which is to come to him again and be rewarded for our deeds. Family is important because we can be together again even in the afterlife when we are sealed together in the Temple for time and eternity. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. He became conscerned for the wellfare of his soul when he was only fourteen years old. He wanted to join a church that was unified in all of the teachings of Christ yet he could not find one. One day while reading in the New Testament, he came across James 1:5 which says if you lack wisdom ask God and he will give it to you. He was inspired to pray and went to a grove of trees outside of his home where he recieved a glorious revelation. God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to young Joseph and aswered his question as to which church he should join which was none of them. Joseph was to restore Christs true church and gain the keys or authority of Christ to teach the gospel and bring back lost Doctrine. Joseph Smith completed his task and today Christs original church is on the earth bringing thousands back to his fold. Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God in these latter days and he has blessed our lives by restoring the truth of Christ. It is not Joseph Smith's church, but it is our Lord Jesus Christs and we continue in the faith he spoke of in ancient times. Show more Show less
