Hi I'm Bill

I'm 97 years young and I've been a member for nearly 75 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born during World War I, served during World War II and retired shortly after Vietnam. I became a member of this Church during the last depression, almost 75 years ago. I've have served in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp), been a blacksmith helper and a copper miner. I've lived in Texas, Alaska, Arizona and traveled the Pacific from Alaska to Okinawa. I was married to my sweet heart for 55 years, have 2 children, a daughter and a son, and 36 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. I've been retired for over 34 years. When I was 90 years young, I purchased a red scooter and began exploring the countryside of Eastern AZ.

Why I am a Mormon

The first time I was handed a Book of Mormon, I was only about 20 years old. I had decided to read a couple of pages and then toss it aside. But I couldn't set it down until I had read all of it. It bore of the divinity of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven. Becoming a member has given me a better prospective on who I am and my Father's plan for me.

How I live my faith

I share my belief in Jesus Christ and the atonement as often as I can. I have always lived a clean and wholesome life. I try to live life to its fullest.
