Hi I'm Michael Davenport

I'm a swimmer, I'm Serving my mission in New Mexico, I'm going to be a Doctor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Puyallup Washington. I am serving my mission in Albuquerque New Mexico, I am used to spicy food and I Love Green Chile. I was in water-polo, swimming, and track in high school and loved each sport. My goal is to be a swimmer at BYU after my mission. I am going to be Doctor after many years of college. and I play the Violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I always grew up in the church and I knew the stories from the scriptures well, but their came a point where I had to find out for myself if this was true, if this is what Christ would have done, and I knew that the only way I could find out was to ask God Himself through prayer. I always had this feeling that it was true through out my childhood, but when I finally went to my knees and prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked in faith, I gained the knowledge that this was what Christ would do and that this is His church. I know it with all my being that God has set up his church again on the earth and it is the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. From that prayer my faith has kept on growing through scripture study, church, and going to the temple. I know that this Church is true and that I'm a Disciple of Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind and strength. I do not get paid for what I do to build up God's Church. My faith grows as I fulfill my duties and responsibilities. I live my faith by what I do, reading my scripture which helps me learn about Jesus Christ, I communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer, and I go to church where I reflect on my savior and help serve in any way. I have accomplished much growth because of how I live and I am grateful for God for my growth!
