Hi I'm Will

I'm a student at Purdue University. I'm a returned missionary, a guitarist and a multilinguist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Will. I am studying Political Science at Purdue, and absolutely love being a Boilermaker. I play the guitar and mandolin. I have a huge interest in learning about foreign nations and languages and world history. I enjoy cooking a variety of foods, especially Thai food. I also just really like helping people be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been extremely blessed to have been born and raised in an atmosphere that has the Gospel of Jesus Christ as its center. My family and the surrounding Latter-day Saint community have been a huge influence in my life. Although I was born into the church, my true conversion did not take place until high school. At some point during that time period I realized that a certain element of happiness was missing from my life. I determined that this missing element could only be obtained through improving my testimony of the Savior's Divinity and that His true church has been restored to the earth. I did this through developing habits such as daily reading of the Book of Mormon, personal prayer and application of the teachings of Christ and the Prophets. To this day I continue to uphold these habits. I later served a full-time mission for the Church in Thailand and had the opportunity to further improve my testimony by helping others come unto Christ. My life has been much happier because of my commitment to the Gospel.

How I live my faith

Since returning home from Thailand I have continued to serve by being an active member of the Purdue University ward. I have a calling as a clerk and I am also a home teacher. I especially enjoy assisting the local missionaries in teaching. My testimony and understanding of the Plan of Salvation have helped me to live my faith.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

As members of the Church, we uphold Joseph Smith as an instrument in the Hands of The Lord in restoring the Gospel to the Earth, BUT we do not worship him. We worship or Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and recognize Joseph Smith as a prophet. Show more Show less
