Hi I'm Gina

I grew up on a farm in western Kansas. I now am a wife, Mother, Grandmother and am blessed to be a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in Kansas until Iattended BYU in Provo where I eventually met and married my husband, who had just returned from his mission. We lived in Utah for a short time, then moved back to Kansas where we began to raise our family. While our three children were still very small, we moved to Colorado where we have been ever since. I am now enjoying the blessings of being a grandmother. What an amazing experience! I love spending time with my husband of 30 years - the love of my life -, my children, grandchildren and extended family. They are such incredible people; and I look forward to spending eternity with them. I am so grateful for the meaning and purpose the gospel brings to our existence here on the earth. Knowing that true joy can be a part of my life through righteous living is an incredible gift.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home where the gospel was a way of life. I have incredible parents that lived lives of love and service for others through the gospel. Of course, that made a huge impact on me; but I still needed to gain my own testimony of the Savior and the gospel. Living in an area where there were very few members, I had many opportunities to interact with those of other faiths - or no faith, as the case may be. It gave me a chance to see the differences in their lives and the one I'd grown up with. I felt the Lord guiding me as I went to Him with questions and concerns. His Spirit filled me with a sweet peace that was undeniable evidence of his love for me. I have had times in my life of trial and challenge; we all do - but each time that I have included my Heavenly Father and asked for His help, without fail He has been there for me and strengthened my faith and testimony.

How I live my faith

I have always held a calling in the Church. With each one, I have learned a little more not only about myself, but the Savior as well. At times, these callings have required me to stretch myself and reach outside the bounds of my comfort zone. Never have I felt my Heavenly Father leave my side; quite the contrary - His presence has been even more powerful. I have experienced this not only as I have served in callings, but in my personal life as well. As was taught and lived by my parents, the gospel is a way of life for me and my family. We love it and can't imagine it any other way.
