Hi I'm Amberlee Cox

I'm energetic, I love creating art, I love kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the 5th of 6 kids. being the second youngest is not the easiest job. But it helps that my younger sister likes me a little;) I love almost any kind of food that is put in front of me. Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, and Volley Ball are my favorite sports. No matter what, animals will always be a part of my life. My favorite colors is blue, not because it's normal for people to pick it, but because it has more to it than meets the eye. In the sky, it hides the depth of space during the day. As the sea blue, it reaches far and wide. Bringing joy when it falls as rain on dry land. As a poor college student, I've learned the value of saving money and hard work. never spend more than you can work. and then save half of what you work for. I have found that it has helped me with my mission fund.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life and I'm blessed to have parents who are good Christian Mormons. When I was a kid, my parents taught me the Gospel every day of my life. I sort of became an automatic Mormon. not really thinking there was any other way to live. In highschool, I was exposed to other different ways of living that seemed okay. But I was still uneducated about other ways to live. In college, I finialy learned that not everyone is looking out for you. Insicurities make people suspicious, and college students suddenly feel like they can do whatever they want because there is no mom or dad looking over your sholder to see if you are staying true to you are. I was thrust into a world where the tinyist decision could lead into a whirle wind of crazyiness. In that crazy whirlewind, there was a bulding called Institute. it was almost the eye of the storm. helping students find Jesus in the unsettling life of a young adult. The Lord brings peace to those who seek Him. I have found that His saving grace will last forever and will never fail us.

How I live my faith

it's different as a college student. no ones there to bug you about early church, reminding you about prayers, or even telling you off for not reading your scriptures. That is why making good friends, who are strong in the gospel, are more important than anything you do in college. Being rooted in the gospel is much better than just staying afloat. In my year of college, I learned more about the Gospel than I have in my entire life! Because i made the decision to read my scriptures, talk to God as much as I could, and listen to His Holly Spirit, my testimony is something I truely believe.
