Hi I'm Gloria

I love kids' laughter, my family, friends and am always stoked at finding new cool music from other cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the fifth child out of seven, have never married, enjoy British Comedies and love collecting recipes. Though I'm meeting with minimal success at turning my brown-thumb green (wah!), I still dream with one day having my own tiny orchard on a small plot of land plus also growing various veggies. Yum! How great it would be to always be able to feed people! I work at a Texas government office and my co-workers are an awesome group of people! I've travelled to Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland, and even to Windemere in the Lake District (sooo beautiful). I served as a missionary in Chile, where I fell in love with marraquetas (one day I may be able to successfully recreate this scrumptious bread)! A couple of things I'll always be grateful for are all the many wonderful people I've met throughout my life and my testimony of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been several situations in my life that have allowed me to I know that God lives, that he loves me, keeps me save, and that He's always available to help me be happy. I was 7 years old when my family joined the Church, but I've felt God's Spirit for myself as I've read and continue to read his Word and put it into practice.

How I live my faith

At present I'm the Employment Specialist in my congregation where I try to keep candidates aware of any new job openings in the area. I've also helped organize Church activities for families and singles, and have even taught songs to children in one of the congregations I attended in the past. I think I've enjoyed teaching Gospel principles the most! I always learn a ton during those times and it is such a privilege to think of all the ways to 'bring home' the point of the lesson. At home I spend a good amount of time compiling genealogy and family history.
