Hi I'm Shelby

I'm a culinary student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

You probably wouldn't believe it after reading this paragraph but I'm actually pretty shy, but I love people. I'm a culinary student who's still not sure what I want to do after I graduate. I love to cook and read and listen to music. I started college at a different school than where I go now, and I miss my sorority sisters. I volunteer my time and energy to help plan dances and hay rides and cook outs for young single adults, I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I chose to be baptized when I was 8 years old. I've lived my whole life in the church, but I know for a fact that this is the right place. This is where I belong. I feel that it's right in my heart and soul when I talk to friends and family about it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith very quietly. I'm not usually an in-your-face kind of person, unless I know you really well. I try to be a good example to people around me by being kind and generous. I get to help teach the 8-11 year old girls at church and boy, do they keep you on your toes! I also help to plan activities for the Young single members of the church in my area. Even though we're all 18-30, we get together to do stuff like make mustache cookies with homemade cookie cutters or go to apple farms and have dances.
