Hi I'm Bobbie

I teach in a school library. I am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read children's books and do newspaper crossword puzzles. My family plants and tends a vegetable garden each summer. I like to can green beans and tomatoes from that garden. I also enjoy preserving freezer jams for my family and others. Baking is another passion of mine--dinner rolls, cookies, cinnamon rolls, pies, breads, etc. My family enjoys a family meal nearly every night of the week.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since I was a child. My father is not a member and my mother would go to church with me occasionally. I went to church because I knew it was where I was suppose to be. I felt at home there. There are many occasions when I could have chosen another church or not gone at all. Wherever I move to, I have always found the church to be there for me. I feel peace, love and a sense of home.

How I live my faith

Sundays are a special day for my family. We usually have breakfast before heading off to church services. After church, we stay in our "sunday clothes" and enjoy sabbath activities including scripture videos, gathering information for family histories, lesson preparing, letter writing, reading church magazines, etc. Keeping the sabbath day holy is important for my family and we are blessed for so doing.
