Hi I'm Everett

I love life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful family, I have great friends. I like doing anything that outdoors or sports-related, I enjoy being physically and spiritually active. I enjoy going to church and serving the Lord in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I was born with a congenital heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot. My parents and the doctors didn't really know what to expect because at that time they didnt truly know the severity of my condition. At 2 years old I underwent open-heart surgery, it was at that time that the doctors realized that I would have to have multiple surgeries throughout my life. I have had some challenges in my life, but I have been able to overcome them. I know that if we as people stay optimistic and rely on the Lord; no matter what our circumstance may be, He will help and guide us throughout our lives. My most recent open-heart surgery was in the summer of 2010, before I went to Lamar University. Yes it was painful, but I know that Jesus Christ our Savior went through much more pain for each and every one of us, He was our PERFECT Example and He performed the Atonement. He did this because He has an unceasing love for each of us. And through my knowledge of the Savior and what he's done for me in my life, I know that I can always rely on Him, press on, and hold my head high. I have been called by the Lord to serve in the Massachusetts Boston Mission and that's where I will remain serving till September 6, 2013. God be with you...

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised in the church and throughout my life my parents always taught me righteous principles to live by. But as we all know, everybody has to leave their parents and learn how to live on their own, at some point in their life. This is when all of the things your parents have taught really come into play in your life. And you can either choose to follow the advice that they have given you over the years or you can just do whatever you want, it's up to you. Sure your free to do whatever you want, but hear me out now, your parents advised you on certain subjects for a REASON, they have been through the tosses, turns, and crushing waves of life and they know what is the best route that you should take in your life. Think about it, people don't usually flap their gums and waste their breathe for no reason, especially your parents. They taught you what they have come to know, because they love you and they want the best for you. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can all choose the right path in life, make the right choices, and be examples to everyone around us. I have come to know this through diligent prayer and having faith that God will answer my prayers and I know that you can recieve answers to your prayers as well, it just takes time and effort on your part. Like everything else in life, we have to earn it before we actually have it. I have come to to know for myself that my parents were right, that this truly is the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I know that you find this out for yourself as well. Give God a chance to change your life...and with this change you will experience everlasting happiness and joy.

How I live my faith

Through the years I have had multiple callings in the church and with every calling that I have had I've been able to gain a greater testimony of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have always enjoyed doing service in the community and the church has enabled me to enhance my efforts of services through their volunteer programs. To this day, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has played a significant role in my life and for that I am eternally grateful. Through the church my family has come closer together and I have been able to come closer to my Savior. Everyday I read from the scriptures (The Holy Bible: King James Version, The Book of Mormon, The Pearl of Great Price, and The Doctrine & Covenants), I pray to my Heavenly Father with every chance I get, and I strive to be Christ-like in all that I do.
