Hi I'm Dianne

I'm a Wife, Mother of 5,Grandmother of 15, Sister, daughter,friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent the 1st 9 years of my life living on the Navajo Indian Reservation. My Father had a store like an old fashioned general store where the Indians came to trade. I learned to speak a few words of Navajo while helping my Father in the store which supplied them with food, dry goods and gasoline..I attended a BIA school for my 1st 3 years of school, where I was the only white student. I graduated from high school and attended college. I also attended floral design school in Denver Colorado. I love flowers, decorating and doing crafts. I have been married to my sweetheart for 41 years . I have 5 children. and 15 grandchildren, who delight my life. I can't imagine my life without them.I love my family. Being together is the thing I love the most.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents began looking for a church to go to when I was 9 yrs old. I remember going to a lot of different churches. We went to the Methodist , Presbyterian, Christian Reformed .. We had neighbors up the road about 14 miles that were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We would go to their home on the weekend and my sisters and I would play with their children and our Parents would talk about the "Mormon Religion". Our lives were forever changed . We had prayer daily, family councils, church activities. When I reached the ripe old age of about 16, I think I knew the church was true. But the real testimony came as I entered college and began to have to decide where i stood with my SAvior , and his gospel. I spent much time prayer and studying the Scriptures. I determined that I wanted to be married for eternity not just "till death do you part". I wanted my children to have an understanding of the Lords plan for us as a family. I became so committed to my covenants that nothing has deterred me from staying true to the promises I made to my Savior when I was baptized. I love this Church, What it stands for and for what is has helped me to become. I know that Joseph Smith actually saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that this is the Church the same Church that CHrist established when he was here on the earth and because of the great apostasy this Church was restored , through Joseph Smith in 1830.

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions within the church. In my early twenties I had the responsibility to care for and lead 75 women in our local congregation. Later in my early thirties 30 I was given the responsibility to help the 10 local congregation leaders in serving the women of their congregations. I love being able to get to know these women as we work together to use our talents as women and care for each other. I also have been the President of the local congregation s children's organization, I love the children. They each have such a sweet innocence about them. As I watch them struggle with their lifes' situation I learned to appreciate why the Savior said " become as a little child I have been able to work with the young women's group age 12-18 . These girls are so fun. I love helping them with their struggles as they discover who they are and what they want to become. I am most happy when I am serving. My husband and I have now served 2 [two missions for our Church. One to Vermont where we have served "as tour guides at the birth place of our Prophet ,Joseph Smith. We are currently serving in Indiana Indianapolis Mission. We Have met some of the nicest people while serving. We have heard many stories of miracles that bear testimony that God is very aware of us individually, and he will help us if we but ask. He is our Heavenly Father , so why not. I love to spend time with people. I love to swim, do water aerobics, having grandchildren around. camping, playing games with friends.
