Hi I'm Sabrey Davis

I am from Arizona. I am a student, sister, missionary, and friend. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary called to serve in the Washington Vancouver Mission. Before my mission I had attended college in 3 different states (Arizona, California, Utah). Also, just before my mission I was working with people with special needs. I love to spend my time helping others, but also having fun! I enjoy rock climbing, sewing, dancing, painting, hiking, swimming, and just about everything else. I have learned that there is nothing like a smile to lift someones day, especially my own; and for that reason I have decided to share my smile with everyone I meet!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS (Mormon) family and have for the most part accepted that. There were a few years in my life where I wasn't so sure who I was, or what I believed. Despite my confusion I resolved to continue in my church service, and ask God what was correct. This was not an easy process, and it took many months before I truly recognized what I now know to be truth. - and that is that God loves me, and He wants me to be happy. I am a Mormon because I have found peace, strength, and comfort in the teachings of this gospel. I am Mormon because this gospel makes me happy, even when my life seems to be going anywhere but forward. I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself that God loves me and provided a plan for me, a plan that I intend to follow as closely as I can for my entire life. A plan that is explained with such clarity and simplicity in this church that a child can understand it, and yet be so complex that I can continue to study it and learn for the rest of my life. I am a Mormon because my heart is filled with the love of my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by smiling. I live my faith by ultimately sharing the light that I have within me. Each day I pray, read and ponder my scriptures, and try to see God's divine hand in my life. The best way for me to live my faith is to truly have it become a part of my heart and the rest will follow, when I know God loves me I am more able to love others.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Sabrey Davis
We need a Savior because we all make mistakes. The mistakes we make, no matter how little, make it so we are imperfect. The scriptures say that no imperfect being may dwell in the presence of God, therefore we need some way to become perfect. We need a Savior. Our Savior, Jesus Christ died for us that we may repent. He died and suffered all of our pains for us so that we my have a chance to become perfect again. Without his sacrifice we could not dwell with our Heavenly Father again. In addition to that I need a Savior because I am not strong enough to face life on my own. I make mistakes, but I don't want to be defined by them. I rely on my Savior to help erase those mistakes and help me to be stronger when I face the next temptations that inevitably come. Show more Show less
