Hi I'm Cissy

I grew up in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I love the gospel and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Mom of five wonderful children all grown and on their own. My interest now is music and family history - teaching family history and helping with research in the US. I am choir director and just love music and the Gospel with music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church as a young person through my parents. But my conversion came when I went to Girls Camp at the age of 14 years old and I have been going strong ever since. Having the Scriptures, a living Prophet to direct me, and the Holy Ghost to guide me means everything to me. The comfort received from this in joyous times and in times of trial is far beyond anything I can imagine.

How I live my faith

The Church has given me opportunites to grow and develop in many areas. As a teenager I was given the responsibily to give talks in Church meetings and become a leader such as a Seminary (religous classed for the youth) officer, working in the library, directing plays and the opportunity to even write original plays for children, youth and adults. Serving my Heavenly Father is what I desire most of all in whatever capacity He gives me. He knows what I need so that I can grow. Today I live in a community of Senior Citizens. What a joy to work with these wonderful people and glean their wisdom into the threads of my lifes tapestry. Besides being a Family History Consultant (helping people with their genealogy) I lead the choir in our Ward and have for about 10 years. What a thrill to praise the Lord through song and see the Gospel being preached this unique way. Music has a way to pluck at the heart strings.
