Hi I'm Levi

I'm from Spokane Washington and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California, but moved to the state of Washington, when I was 3 years old. My father learned of the church through a prayer when joining the army; soon after going to basic training was baptized. He married my mother, a lifetime member, after meeting her in the army. While growing up I had a happy childhood. When I turned 19 years old I served a two year mission to Argentina. During my time at the Missionary Training Center I was injured from too much running and met a sister missionary. We kept in touch throughout my missionary service in Argentina and her service in Iowa. Upon returning home I met up with her, dated, and soon after asked her to marry me. We were sealed in a LDS Temple for all time and eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the privilege of always knowing of Jesus Christ and His love for us. I was raised learning about the Restoration of His gospel, His teachings, and His church. I came to the point when I realized I didn't know if it was true. The more I thought about it and prayed the more I realized I always was happy in Church, when I read the scriptures, and as I heard about everything I had been taught. That happiness, genuine happiness can only come from God. To this day my faith and testimony of the love of our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ grows. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God just as much as the Bible is. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God just as much as Moses was. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, as well, to help lead us through an ever darker world.

How I live my faith

Right now my wife and I are representatives for the Institute of Religion for our ward (congregation). We encourage those in our ward to attend Institute where we can learn together about the gospel of Jesus Christ in the midst of all of the other things we learn while attending the neighboring university. It is so important that we learn things of a spiritual nature as well as all of the other things of a secular nature.
