Hi I'm Kristine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to cook, read good books, hike, bike, walk, day trips, spend time with family and friends. I have 4 children and have been widowed twice. Returned to college the first time I was widowed and completed a bachelor in Speech Communications and a masters in Counseling and Guidance. I was a counselor in 3 elementary schools. Have been involved in community service in the library and the hospital. I am currently enjoying family history, being a substitute teacher and recently hired as a paralegal/legal secretary. I grew up in Brazil due to an assignment that my father had as a mission president over a group of young men and women serving as missionaries for the LDS church. Later I served a mission to the Brazil North mission in Rio de Janeiro. Love the Portuguese language, the people and the culture. Love to fix Brazilian cuisine and to listen to Brazilian music. Love to travel and meet new people. Also worked as an airline attendant before I served my mission to Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been acquainted with the church all of my life and have never been ashamed to let people know that I am a Mormon. At the age of 8, I was baptized and confirmed to be a member of this church under the direction of my father. Because of my parents I have always known it to be true and as I got older came to know for myself that I had a testimony of its truths. It gives me purpose and direction and is truly an anchor in my life. It is the way to live the Golden Rule and through the Book of Mormon I have learned so much about the Savior and His teachings. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been given many assignments in the church. I have worked with the children, youth and adults in teaching. As a visiting teacher, I have had wonderful women to work with and to visit who have blessed my life. That has been my favorite assignment. I have been a Primary president, a Relief Society counselor and teacher, an advisor to the young women and men in the church. Now I am currently leading the music for the congregation in our ward. All of these assignments have helped my testimony to grow and helped me in raising our children.
