Hi I'm Christie

I am a wife and mother of three, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a BA in Humanities. I then worked as an office manager for a high tech company to support my family while my husband attended medical school. After moving to Phoenix, I stayed home to raise my three children; I feel blessed to spend this time with them. Several years ago I helped start a non-profit parent organization focusing on education issues in our school district. It has been a very rewarding experience.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ really began when I was a senior in high school. I made it a priority to study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I began to pray to gain a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During that time, I felt the Lord supporting and guiding me in the decisions for my future. As I prayed and studied, the Holy Ghost testified to me that the gospel was true. Over the years and through many trials, I have felt the Savior's love for me. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He knows me individually. I also know He loves each and every one of us. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I can find peace in a troubled world. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that one day I can return to live with him.

How I live my faith

I find that life moves in cycles and there are times in our lives when we are flying high and other times when we feel beaten down. I have found during the difficult times, if I focus on the needs of others my life is blessed and I am better able to handle what life brings me. Currently, I am the leader of our church women's organization. Our organization provides service and support to those in need. We also provide Sunday gospel education and activities for the women to learn of Christ and strengthen our homes and family. I have found this calling very rewarding. Other positions I have held are Women’s Activities Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Advisor. These positions have helped me to develop compassion for others and strive to follow the example of the Savior.
