Hi I'm Morgan

I am serving in the California Anaheim mission. I'm Fantastic, i’m a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the California Anaheim mission. I belong to a family of four boys; I am the third of the four. My background is mostly Ukrainian, but a part is Scottish. I enjoy playing sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, and handball. In the winter time, I enjoy skiing with my buds. Still yet have to hit a mountain in Utah sometime :) best powder eh?? I also enjoy Ukrainian Dancing, and have been doing it for over 12 years. i LOVE being with my friends!!! they are Awesome!!! I just love interacting with people! i love to meet different people all the time!! :)

Why I am a Mormon

A lot of Mormons do grow up in the church and just believe it because it’s how they're raised. Sometimes in a person’s life they want to know if the religion they are involved in is actually true. At the age of 17 I finally found out for myself that it was true buy the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can reveal the truth of all things. In my life I’ve had some questions which we all have at some point. I wanted to know the answers, and by turning to prayer, and actually trying it out for myself, I was able to receive personal revelation. The reason why I am a Mormon is because I know this is the true church, and it’s something that is directing me in life and helping me get through the pitfalls of mortality.

How I live my faith

You can’t be a true believer of Christ church alone. Having faith requires works. "Faith without works is dead." by reading the book of Mormon, and praying, I am able to grow closer to god. In fact, anyone who does this will too. God has given us many commandments to follow, and when we obey them we can find true happiness. Attending church each week and partaking of the sacrament is a way I can feel the spirit, and learn things that actually apply to my life. I know god answers prayers, and just by simply going to church and listening to the speakers, my prayers have been answered. It’s pretty cool how that works. I live my faith knowing that not at all times its going to be easy, but its definitely going to be worth it in the end.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Morgan
No one is forced to do something they don’t want to do. All worthy males in the church between the ages of 19-26 are encouraged to serve a mission. Any woman who is at least 21 may serve also. I feel those who know that something is true with all their heart should go out and share it. I know this gospel is true hence the reason I wish to share it with others. But when it comes down to it, everyone has a choice. I know people who chose not to serve missions. I don’t treat them any differently that I treat others. I would not look down upon them.
