Hi I'm Alisa

I constantly find things to keep me busy and going, I am a wife, a stay-at-home mom to a feisty two year old, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I grew up in many places throughout the U.S. including Missouri, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Utah. I graduated with my bachelors degree in English Literature. I am now a wife to the most wonderful man I have ever met. I am also a mother to the cutest two year old girl out there, and I am expecting another baby early next year. I love learning new things, literature, cooking, baking, crafting, traveling, and doing almost anything outdoors. Having time with my family is the most precious and wonderful gift. I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church but as a teenager realized I needed to know for myself that this was the true church on the earth. I studied and read the Book of Mormon and had a personal witness that it was a true book from God. I also received a testimony of Joseph Smith and the wonderful young man and prophet he was to restore God's church on the earth. Throughout my life, there have been tender moments, close to my heart, that have made me stand strong and immovable as a member of this church. I have felt a confirmation on many occasions that being a member of this church is more than right. I believe in the atonement of Christ. Without coming unto Christ and being forgiven for our sins, we would not be able to return to Him. I have gone through many trials in my life and the atonement has helped me understand God's plan for me. We can all be forgiven and live a wonderfully happy and fulfilling life on this Earth and forever. I am grateful to know that I can be with my parents and siblings, my husband and sweetheart, and the wonderful children God has and will bless me with, forever. This life is not the end, and for me that brings such comfort to my soul. There are so many gospel principles that testify of a truthfulness to me that make it more than apparent that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I study scriptures, I pray to my Heavenly Father in thanks and for guidance, I attend church meetings every Sunday, and I try to be an example to others in how I act, dress, speak, and carry myself. Being a stay-at-home mom allows me to teach my daughter about Jesus and try to show her each day how much He loves her. I believe that being an example to others is the most indicative way to show what our faith really is. Living my faith is being a good mother, a loving wife, a happy person, family oriented, serving others, and shining the light of Christ to those I come in contact with.
