Hi I'm Cindy

I live in Colorado and love spending time in the outdoors with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to the most wonderful husband and a mom to two beautiful kids! They are my life! I enjoy spending time camping and fishing with them. We enjoy going to the park, making crafts and baking treats to share with our neighbors. I love to stamp and create my own cards and projects when I have the time. I am currently working for an oil and gas company.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church, but we were not an active family. In my teen years, I had attended Sunday school and Young Women's because that is what my friends were doing. On a Friday afternoon, we received a call that my grandma had a stroke. She was taken to the hospital and my parents flew down to be with her and my grandpa. She passed away latter that night. I was very close to my grandma and was devastated that she was gone. On Sunday, for some reason still unknown to me, I went to church. All someone had to do was look at me and I would cry. After Sunday school was over, my teacher pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted a blessing. I had not had many, so I said yes. I went into that room with tears in my eyes and a huge weight on my shoulders. I left with tears in my eyes, but that weight was gone. It was a feeling like no other I had ever had. I knew then that the church was true. Things happen in life, both good and bad, but I knew and still know now, that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and is willing to help me along in life. He has always been there to guide me and I know that as long as I am striving to do all that He has asked of me, He will continue to guide me.

How I live my faith

I currently teach in the Nursery (children ages 2-3) in our ward. I have been teaching for 2 1/2 years now and I love it! I had taught Nursery for many years in another ward and the Primary President use to always tell me how she felt that Nursery was one of the most important callings in the ward. If you can start the kids off right, they will continue to want to learn and develop their testimonies. They may be small to start with, but I have seen them grow in the short time I have with the kids. We get to have singing time and it is fun to see the kids learn the songs and sing them on their own. I have parents tell me how they will hear their kids singing a song that they have learned and it makes me realize just how much they do watch and listen.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Cindy
I believe that having Jesus in our home makes our home more peaceful and loving. I am not saying we don't have our fair share of fights and disagreements, but having reminders of Jesus and His love, allows us to forgive and forget. I know that Jesus watches over us and loves us and wants the best for us. I have tried to follow His example by teaching and showing my kids that 'no matter what - good or bad' I love them! Jesus loves us and we should love all those around us. If we can have faith that He is there for us, we can follow His example and be there for those around us. Show more Show less
