Hi I'm Brandon

I love Volleyball and Basketball and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Brandon Lake. I grew up in a basketball family and love anything about the sport! I also love volleyball! I played in high school and actually am now on the coaching staff at my old high school coaching volleyball! I served an LDS mission in the California Carlsbad Mission from 2010-2012 and loved it! It was the best decision I have made so far in my life! Im currently in school right now and also about to finish Real Estate school.

Why I am a Mormon

Being apart of this church means absolutely everything to me. I would not be the person that I am today without it. I love my Savior Jesus Christ more than anything. He truly did suffer and die for us so that we can be clean and forgiven. He also suffered to know how it feels for us on earth and the different trials we face so that He can help us. For me to imagine what it's going to be like to reunite with the Savior, it brings me so much peace and happiness and I can't wait for that day. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who cares for us and loves us like a real Father, we are His children. What I want most in my life is to always keep Heavenly Father proud of me and one day live with Him with my family now and my future family. I served a mission in Carlsbad, California. There I really strengthened my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I felt Him strengthening me and guiding me in what to say and do. I have a testimony that the Lord does go before our face and that He is on our right hand and on our left. His spirit is in our hearts and I know that He sends angels round about us to bear us up. (Doctrine and Covenants 84:88)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of the believers. I strive everyday to become more like my Savior Jesus Christ and aquire His attributes. I left my sports, family, friends, and everything to serve God and His children in California. I love Him so I will continue to "feed His sheep." I held callings of leadership in the youth of our church and tried to help the youth remember God, His son, and His gospel. Currently, I am the Ward Mission Leader and my job is to continue God's work in helping people receive the gospel within my area. My ultimate goal and what I find joy in is being a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
