Hi I'm Suzie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 44 years old, single and although my life is different than I imagined it would be, I feel very blessed. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Littleton. I love Colorado and can't imagine living anywhere else. I am blessed to have my mother and two sisters living close to me and we enjoy spending time together and attending my amazing 13 year old niece's softball games. I am a dental assistant. My hobbies are cooking, genealogy, scrapbooking, photography, jewelry making and various other crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 3 years old, so I was raised in the church. My parents divorced in 1972 and my mom always made it a priority to take us to church on Sundays and activities. However, I don't think I had a true appreciation for it when I was young. I was inactive for about 10 years starting when I was in my early 20's. I didn't realize at the time that I had removed myself from something wonderful that gave my life meaning and purpose. I didn't realize the empty hole that was there in it's place, until I started attending church again 9 1/2 years ago. I remember feeling nervous and anxious the first Sunday, but as soon as I walked through those doors I felt like I was home, and what a warm and comforting feeling it was! I can't totally say that I regret the time away, although I regret some of the decisions I made during that time. I feel like I have a better appreciation for the gospel and my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. Now I feel like my testimony is stronger than it has ever been. I know that this is the true church and I love it with all my heart! I had the opportunity last year to visit some of our church historical sites with the youth in the church. And to stand in those "holy places" where the Prophet Joseph Smith and early saints were was a faith building experience that I will never forget! I will forever be grateful to the missionaries that taught and baptized my family and we are blessed to still be in contact with one of them today! Looking back now I know that it was the gospel of Jesus Christ and the people in it that saved my family, especially after my parent's divorce.

How I live my faith

I strive everyday to be a better person and to realize that we are all here for a purpose in this life. I try to make the lives of others better through kind gestures and acts of service. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work in the temple and it has blessed my life in countless ways! I have also been blessed to work with the youth in the church. The youth are truly amazing because of their strength and dedication to the gospel. My current calling is ward missionary and it has been a great blessing as well. It makes me sad to think about the people in the world who don't realize or understand how much their Heavenly Father loves them and wants them to return to live with him someday!
