Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being involved in many activities. I am involved in my local city government on the planning commission. I attend my local business and community associations and take an active part in them. I hope to run for elected office as some point in my life to give back to my community. My husband and I own an insurance agency that specializes in health insurance and senior products. I have two grown daughers and have two grandchildren to spoil! My life is full and very busy. I love to sew, take photographs and 4 wheel drive with my husband in our beautiful Colorado and Utah mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

13 years ago, my youngest teenage daughter was struggling with substance abuse. We tried every method we could find to try to support/control her actions. We finally admitted we need help from Heavenly Father to support all of us. We realized that we could not control her actions - only she could do that! My husband was an inactive member at that time and I was not a member. We met with the missionaries for quite some time- (I am a slow learner I guess) One Sunday, a group of sisters sang a song that touched my heart and made me realize how important it was for me to give my life to Him. I was baptized soon afterward. I love the Lord and this gospel. It has been MY saving grace with all my struggles. We have a happy ending to our daughters's story. She is now 3 years "clean" and is working for us. Life is GOOD!

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions in our Ward. Today I am serving as the president or our Church's women's organization. I also visit with many sisters each month.
