Hi I'm Jessa

I'm a Navy wife. I'm a mother of busy teenagers. I work with a bunch of two year olds. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am, first and foremost, a wife and a mother. I married my best friend, a US Sailor, almost 15 years ago. We have two wonderful teenage kids who keep us busy, busy, busy! Until recently I was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home-mom but decided that it was time to do something for myself and I got a job! I now work in a daycare/preschool with 15 two year olds! When I am not working, attending kids' soccer games and swim meets or working with the Young Women at church, I like to knit, crochet, ride my bicycle, read, play games with my family and visit with friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church. I went through a time in my teens when I questioned whether or not I wanted to continue in the church. I joined the Navy and met my husband when I was 19 and after listening to the sister missionaries teach my husband about the church, I felt a renewed desire to live the gospel. I believe that I have always known that the Lord loved me but it wasn't until I held my daughter in my arms that I truly knew, without any doubt, that I was his daughter. I love that I am able to be with my family forever through the sealing power of the priesthood. I have a testimony that God loves all of His children and wants nothing more than to welcome them all back into His presence, and that in the meantime, he wants us to be happy while we are here. I know that my attitude and my actions each day can affect the happiness of others and it is my desire to make sure that I leave each person I meet a little happier than before I met them. I know that I am loved by the Savior and that He lives.

How I live my faith

I am the Young Women's President in my branch. We have a large number of girls that keep us on our toes. We, as a presidency, are constantly coming up with ways for the girls to have fun while learning gospel principles and making themselves better people.
