Hi I'm Brock

I grew up in Utah. I am currently serving a two year mission in Washington. I love my family and Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in the little bubble of Utah my whole life. I have five siblings and a wonderful mom and dad. Growing up my Parents have installed in us a love for sports. That is a big part of my life. I especially love me some basketball. My dad taught us the importance of work as kids. I didn't appreciate it then but I do now. I love to laugh and have a good time, some people may even call me a joke-ster. Life is to be enjoyed in my opinion.

Why I am a Mormon

One reason is because i was born into the church but there came a time in my life when I needed to know if it was true for myself or not. It was my sophomore year in high school when a church teacher promised us that if we would read from the Book of Mormon we could over come our trials and temptations. What he said hit me pretty hard, I needed all the help I could get. So I applied his promise and began to read the Book of Mormon daily. After a week of reading I didn't see any changes so I decided it wasn't true. For some reason I continued to read though, to this day I still don't know why. After a couple of months of reading I looked back and realized that all of the promises the teacher had promised had been fulfilled. My life did a 180 turn. I had no desire for evil or sin, I had a hate for sin. I wanted to follow my savior and be more like him. I had a peace and comfort in my life that was missing before. I knew that the Book of Mormon was more then just a book. I still didn't recognize that; that was my answer from Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost. I was expecting a visitation from some heavenly being but we learn in the scriptures that the Holy Ghost is a still small voice. Later I prayed and asked again with all sincerety if this was Christs church and if Joesph Smith was a prophet. I turned to the scriptures and found my answer. My answer was that I had already recieved my answer. HaHa As I read a particular scripture the spirit hit me very hard, more then any other scripture. The spirit testified to me that; that was my answer. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that Joesph Smith is a prophet and this is Christ's true church. I am more certain of this than anything else I know to be true. I asked God if it was true and he revealed the truth of it to me. It has blessed my life in every aspect.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is by serving a mission. We leave our homes, family, friends, and all of our comforts to bless the lives of others. It is some of the most trying times of your life but also brings the greatest happiness as you serve Jesus Christ and others. There is no greater joy then to see others blessed by the restored gospel. To see joy, peace, and comfort fill individual and famiy lives. Also I give money to those who are in need. I am blessed with clothes, food, and shelter so I want to give so others can have those same blessings. I strive to go about doing good as Christ did.
