Hi I'm Tambre

I am a student athlete playing volleyball for the University of Northern Colorado

About Me

I have been a memeber of the church all my life. I have five siblings. I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track throughout my high school career. I was All-State in both volleyball and basketball and honorable mention in track. Now I am continuing my athletic career at the University of Northern Colorado playing volleyball. I am studying to major in Physical Education and hopefully pursue a career in teaching/coaching, but ahead of that desire is to hopefully become and wife and mother someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know for a fact that it is true. I don't hope it’s true, I know it is because of the many blessings and guidance it has given me in my life. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the only true and living prophet on the earth today and I know that by folling his counsel we will be happier in our lives. I grew up in the church so in the beginning I was doing these things because my parents did it and I was basing my testimony off of theirs for a while. I got to a point where I really wanted to know if it was true. I was leaving for college in the next year and I didn't know what would happen when I went like if I was going to continue to go to church and live my life the way I have been. I sincerely prayed to know if it was true and my prayers were answered through the conversion of one of my good friends. She was curious as to why I had the standards I did and why I didn't party and stuff like that. All I did was answer her questions and before I knew it I was sitting in on missionary discussions with her and I slowly watched the gospel change my friend’s life. It was a confirmation that the gospel is real and has the power to do miracles in people’s lives if they have faith in the lord and trust in his doctrine. The Gospel has brought me so much happiness in my life. Now I am at college and I know the church is true and I know that my life will all fall into place if I put the Lord first in my life and stay true to my standards and beliefs I have been taught. I truly love this church and everything I am today is because of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and by keeping true to my standards. I was recently called to be a teacher in the Relief Society in my ward. And I also attend institute every Wednesday so I can continue to learn and grow in the gospel. Everything about my faith guides my life and my choices. Having the knowledge of who I am, why I'm here, and where I'm going has been a great blessing in my life.
