Hi I'm Syndi

I'm Maori/Hawaiian born in N.Z. I've lived in both NZ and Hawaii, I love to sing, I love to share the gospel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always wanted to serve the Lord and have learnt many wonderful things here, especially the importance of serving others and bringing joy to peoples lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I enjoy writing songs, singing, hanging with friends that get together and sing. I was born in New Zealand and raised in the East Coast of NZ there in my young life, my family decided to move to Hawai'i and it was a huge transition. I've always treasured a lot about my culture and had always loved how much the gospel of Jesus Christ correlated with each other. I have been going to Uni in Hawaii and majoring in the Sciences hoping to pursue in health. I met so many wonderful people there and learnt so much from people all over the world, and still having that privilege here on a mission where we still meet people from all walks of life, all over the world. I love the outdoors so I look forward to running, hiking, biking activities. I do love to cook as well and have many friends (or strangers) come over and have a good feed. I hope to share my love for these things, and bring them closer to our savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my parents were both members of the church and have a long family history of converts to the church. I am very thankful for my ancestors who took that faith and listened to the missionaries and the precious message that they brought. To be honest, my conversion wasn't until much later in life when I had so many options to choose which path I wanted to go. Many years of inactivity later I decided to pray and ask God what he would have me do. There I decided to go to School at a choice University that will always have a place in my heart because that is where so many people that had the same desire and standard to strive to be better and follow Christ. I really had to figure out what God had in mind for me. It took much experience, disappointment, heartache, patience, prayer, humility, and understanding to grow such a strong relationship with our loving Heavenly Father. Who would've thought that hardships, and time could truly bring you closer to Him! I have seen so many miracles in my life and I know that because of these life experiences, it has made me the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I try my best to always acknowledge Heavenly Father and put him first in my life always. I knew that by putting my trust in Him and always showing gratitude for the blessings in my life constantly. I was in the ward activities committee and them I was the ward missionary. So it really helped me to prepare to see how love and service really reflects the life and mission of the Jesus Christ.
