Hi I'm Kathy

I work in the adoption field. It gives me a great sense of worth to help find forever families for the babies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love long drives and looks at all the beautiful things that God has given us to enjoy. I have the best husband in the world. I have 4 wonderful children, 10 super fantastic grandchildren -- that isn't counting all the children that I consider my own that I have taught over the years. I have been active all my life working with young people. (Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, Young Women, and have taught in Primary for ages.) I love working with the youth, I think it was keeps me feeling young.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon and as a youth thought that is was fine but as I got older I began to question why I believed and what I believed. It took getting married and having a family to see how important the Church's teachings are. I thank God every day for letting me be raised in the church. I am thankful for the things that I have been able to teach my children.

How I live my faith

I love the youth of the church. I love to see their faith grow as they are taught the gospel. I see the light of Christ shine it their faces as they smile. I find that as I teach the youth I learn more myself. I guess that is one of the blessing of doing your calling. Right now I go to the Nursery for about 15 minutes on Sunday and tell the children about a hero in the Bible or Book of Mormon and then I give them a treat. I love it when they call me Grandma. There are approximately 15 children in class. Years ago my husband and I were active in the scouting program and we loved camping and hiking with the boys. Family vacations were often scout related trips.

Are Mormons Christians?

Simple answer is YES! I believe if you know the true name of our church you will see that we are. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ~~ But my answer is - I believe that to be a "Christian" is a way of life. Ask yourself, are you living like Christ lived? I know that the world says that you have to believe in Christ to be a Christian, but there are plenty people out there that act Christian. I don't know what their beliefs are but I know that they live their lives the way that Christ did. I admire that talent it those people. Show more Show less
