Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Indiana most of my life. I joined the church when I was 13. I graduated from BYU in 1983. I am the mother of 3 boys and 1 girl. I am a stay-at-home mom and love it. I enjoy watching my kids participate in school and church activities. I enjoy the outdoors and especially enjoy warm weather! I also love dancing, traveling and being with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was 12 the Methodist church that I belonged to got a new minister and my mother did not like him so we looked for a new church to attend. My father was Mormon but had not been active since he was in high school. I was raised with alot of the same standards and values that are taught in the church. However, back then I think most people had similar values and standards. Our family took the missionary discussions for about a year. Finally, my mom, brother and I joined the church. After joining the church I tried to live the principles I learned, and follow the examples I saw. Everytime I lived a principle, I was blessed. This is a pattern that has continued in my life. I am constantly learning more about Christ's teachings, applying them in my life, and experiencing the results of peace, personal growth and happiness. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward in whatever capacity is asked of me. I teach my children to love the gospel. I spend time in prayer with my Heavenly Father. I learn as much as I can about being a daughter of God from the scriptures, Sunday School teachers, and church leaders. I try to be like Jesus. Currently I am working with the young women, age 12-18 and I love it!
