Hi I'm Amber

I am a mother of 4. I have been married for 13 years. I was raised in Utah. I now live in the Mountains of AZ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is my life. I love every moment that I get to spend with them. Our favorite thing to do is travel. We love seeing the beautiful creations placed in this world. We also love traveling to visit our extended family. I love supporting my children in their activities. I have a degree in Elementary Education and enjoy volunteering in the schools my children attend. I enjoy sports and I get the opportunity to help coach my kids' teams. I love music and teach piano to several students. I love the power that good music can have in our lives. My favorite season is the fall when the leaves are changing, the air is cool and fresh, the warm foods taste extra good, and the leaves make that crunching sound when I walk! I like reading good books by myself, with my kids, and even with my husband. My husband is my best friend and I love it when I get to spend time with him on dates, at church, going on bike rides, and doing projects around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to be raised in the church. I don't think I ever doubted that this was His church, but I did have to gain my own testimony. I have had my testimony built by reading the scriptures and praying throughout my life. I have also had many experiences where I have felt the Spirit testify that this is the true church. I know that families are meant to be together forever. I know I am a daughter of God and that He loves me individually! I love the peaceful spirit that I feel when I sing and hear the hymns of the church. I also know that God has given us a prophet to guide us today. I believe in Christ's atonement and I am grateful for a church where we are always taught that we can repent and be forgiven of our sins.

How I live my faith

I serve by helping with the cub scouting program. I get to watch these boys achieve goals and learn things that will help them throughout their lives. I also get the opportunity to visit other women in our area and make sure that they are doing ok. I also have the opportunity to help plan activities for other women in our congregation where we do service, become better friends, make things to beautify our homes, and learn how to strengthen our families.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Only those who are living their lives worthily can go into the temple. The temple is a place to feel the spirit, and those who enter should not detract from that spirit. Nothing secret goes on in the temple. We teach our children from a young age what goes on there. We go there to be taught, make sacred covenants, receive saving ordinances, and be sealed for eternity to our families. We also do work there for those people who died not having the opportunity perform these ordinances themselves. This is a service that we do for them. Show more Show less
