Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just starting back into school to finish a degree. I have two boys, a little girl and a wonderful wife. I spend some of my free time running, reading and playing any sport I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the experiences I have had. I was born into an LDS family where I was taught the gospel and given my free will to test the principles of the gospel. Through my experiences and through ernest prayer, I received a confirmation from the Spirit that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I have felt the influence of the Spirit many times throughout my life teaching me and comforting me. It is through living my faith that I have gained a close and personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that through His sacrifice and teachings, that I am able to return to my Father in Heaven. I believe that the things that I have learned in my life from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have made me a better person and taught me to love others. It has led me to try and pattern my life after Christ and do the things that will help me and my family live eternally together. I have learned what God would have me become and what my life is for through the teachings of the prophets. Both those who have written their words in the Holy Scriptures and through living Prophets. I believe that it is through obedience to the laws and principles of the gospel, that I have found comfort and joy. Even in times of trial and pain, the things that I have learned have lifted me up and caused me to look at these times with a broader understanding and a more eternal view. I know that God has a plan for me and I know that part of that plan is for me to have joy in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday by being the kind of person I hope my Father in Heaven would like me to be. I try to be a servant to others around me and look for opportunities to help.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

There a several purposes of our lives. To have experiences that will help us grow, to get a physical body and learn to control it, and to be tested. Part of this testing is to see whether we will choose good or evil. I believe that all of these things are part of a plan that our Father in heaven has for us. It is a plan of growth and joy. It is a plan that lets us live and love and enjoy this blessing of our lives. Show more Show less
