Hi I'm Lynette

I'm a mom, a wife, a "mystery shopper," a small-business owner. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a perfect mom who cooks gourmet, healthy meals, always has a clean house, and whos kids always look clean with pressed clothing...STOP! That is NOT me. I have three boys who often have food stuck on the edges of their mouths, stains on their shirts, and wrinkles in their clothes (depending on whether or not they had to pull their clothes from the pile of laundry on the floor). If you were to stop by my house at a random time, you would most likely find nerf bullets strewn around the house, multiple pairs of shoes and socks decorating the hallway, dishes still on the table from breakfast, and kids throwing balls in the house. More important to me than having a clean house with clean kids, is having a fun house full of happy kids. I am a wife to a very busy man, but who still takes time to laugh and play with his family. Together, we are committed to raising our kids as followers of God. Raising kids is not easy, but we keep trying, and having God on our side makes it much easier! I own a small "mystery shopping" business. I get paid to stay in hotels and eat at restaurants and then rate the employees on their service. Not a bad gig! I also love the arts and love taking photographs. My favorite subjects are my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I go to church to find the peace and fulfillment to my soul that I need to get through another week. Church is like therapy and a spa in one. I call it theraspa. It's like therapy because it helps me get over my "problems" and makes me a better, kinder person. It's like a spa because I literally leave feeling happier, more rejuvinated, and more at peace with myself and with others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me closer to God, and that brings me peace and happiness. My parents were both Mormons, so I was raised going to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But childhood (especially the teenage years) wasn't easy. I struggled. My life could have ended up so differently than it is today. But thankfully a merciful God encouraged me to the path I am on and I'm grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to love and serve others like Jesus did when he lived on this earth. He had such a perfect love for all. He forgave, he loved, he listened, he taught, he served. I try to do the same. Of course, I'm far from perfect, but at least I try. I serve others through my church. I teach the young kids about Jesus and His Gospel. I love it! They are so innocent and full of faith! I also am helping my church to organize social events, like the Halloween party. I also serve others in the community, but I'd like to do more. I live my faith by sharing my faith. God died for us all because he loves us all. His church and His gospel are the true path to real happiness. I've helped others gain a belief in Jesus Christ. I've seen how their lives were transformed, how they found true happiness and peace.
