Hi I'm Nathan

I was born in Ohio and grew up in Pennsylvania. I attended school in the western United States.

About Me

I like studying life and work as a biologist and bacteriologist. I enjoy nature and reading about the ocean. Fishing, hiking and gardening (weed pulling) are some of my favorite things to do. My wife and children are a great influence in my life. We all enjoy reading and movies.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church prior to my birth. My Dad had a friend in graduate school who introduced him to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After my Dad was baptized he invited my Mom to become a member. I was raised as a member of this faith and it has been a positive influence in my life. I like being a member because it gives me opportunities to serve others. All my life I have been encouraged to read and study the scriptures, especially, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Doing so has helped me feel God's love and hear His voice as thoughts and promptings that have guided my choices for good.

How I live my faith

I like to live my faith with my family in quiet ways - such as in daily prayer, scripture study and service. I also like to attend church and interact with the people I meet there. I enjoy the encouragement I receive there to improve my life and be the best husband, father and community servant that I can be. I appreciate the counsel to be honest in my interactions; this has helped me be a good employee in my vocation.
