Hi I'm Donamarie

I was an Army cartographer, a mom, and a retired Project Manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I joined the church in 1974 and new instantly upon opening the Book of Mormon that this was the true church. I love the church "family" and whenever I move I know that the lessons, activities and everything else will be the same.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found other Christian churches lacking in Christian behaviors outside of church and lacking in their beliefs inside of church. I was tired of half-hearted Christians. I love the family atmosphere of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love their devotion to family. I have found a rock for my foundation in the teachings of Jesus, the atonement, and his love for all of us. I really like that we don't have paid ministries that try to convince us of how terrible we are. We are each of us fighting our own demons and we need to be nurtured and not criticised. This church holds me up, teaches me and provides lots of love.

How I live my faith

I attend sacrament every Sunday, keep the Sabbath holy, attend the temple as often as it is possible and attend all of my other meetings weekly. I particiate in Humanitarian Aid making items for the community. I am also a missionary for FamilySearch answering phone, chats and emails with those seeking answers in Indexing and Historical Records.
