Hi I'm Martin

I'm a Mormon. I'm married to my eternal companion Katy and we have 3 wonderful sons.

About Me

I've had a full life and I must say that as I reflect into the the past, the parts of my life that have given me the most joy and comfort have been my home and family. Knowing that we can be an eternal family is perhaps the greatest gift of all. I love my wife and sons! I've been in my chosen profession since high school and have my own business. I enjoy the outdoors, nature, hiking, fly fishing, architecture and woodworking.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church. As a young man I was raised by a single mother who was not very active in the Church but I had many good friends and families that helped me along until I went on my mission. I’m a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has testified to me that the Church is true. The first time I really had a deep feeling of this truth come to me was just before my Mission and then again while in the mission field testifying to others that the Church is true. I'm grateful for my membership in the Church and the atonement of Jesus Christ and personally what that means to me and my family. Gods plan for us is eternal salvation and happiness with our families. The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is the true Church of Jesus Christ. The same Church that he set up while he was on the earth. We have a Prophet today just as the old church. I'm grateful for Joseph Smith and his sincere prayers to our father in Heaven that resulted in the restoration of the gospel back to the earth in these later days.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be to my wife, sons and everyone i come in contact with. I honor the priesthood which i hold by serving others in my church callings. As part of the leadership of a group of men in the priesthood we visit the other members as often as possible to make sure they are doing well and to see if there are any needs we might be able to help them with. We encourage members in our area who might be less active by offering our testimonies that the Church is True! I have had many other opportunities to teach and serve in the church. I have taught the youth, priesthood groups and served in other callings. Perhaps the most rewarding calling has been working with the young men as a Scout Master, helping many young men grow as members of the church and also obtain the rank of Eagle Scout, including my own 3 sons. As members of the Church we all have opportunities to serve and are called to serve by the Bishop of our ward as the Spirit directs.
