Hi I'm Thomas

I enjoy learning, medicine, sports, camping, and laughing. I am a father & husband. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student, training to become a Physician Assistant. My wife and I are also trying to raise our little girl and enjoying each and every day of it. Right now most of my time is spent studying, but when I get free time I love to sit down with my wife and daughter and watch movies, go out to eat, and call up friends and family to hang out. I love to be active and being in the mountains around a campfire is probably one of the most enjoyable things to me. I served for 2 years in the Kiev, Ukraine mission speaking Russian. That was one of the happiest times in my life. I love serving my Savior and feeling his love for me and others as I do it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family with parents that did an amazing job of helping understand what is right and wrong. They never forced me to be a member of the church, or follow the gospel. They knew it was my choice and simply helped along the way. I knew from an early age that God and his son Jesus Christ live and love me. I learned to recognize their love for me when I was making right choices, as well as the separation I felt when I wasn't making right choices. I face all the trials and temptations that every person faces, but as I follow the commandments of God and heed the counsel given from His modern-day apostles and prophets, those temptations are easy to overcome and I am happy. I think that is the main reason why I am a member of the LDS church. It makes me so happy and brings me so much joy. I have felt the joy that comes from forgiving others and receiving forgiveness from my Savior Jesus Christ. He is real and He lives. One teaching of the LDS faith that few, if any, teach is eternal families. I love my family beyond description. Through living the gospel of Jesus Christ and being sealed to my beautiful wife by the authority and power of the priesthood in the temple, I have the opportunity and blessing to live with my family for eternity. I couldn't imagine it any other way. I know that the priesthood of which I spoke is real. That power and authority was lost soon after the death of Jesus Christ. But through Joseph Smith, that power is again here on the Earth. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore all the truth that was once upon the Earth. I know that there is a current prophet living on the Earth, President Thomas S. Monson. The Bible and Book of Mormon are holy scripture and through reading them I have grown closer to my Savior and feel of His love and the peace only He can bring. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the fullness of the gospel. I know because God has answered my prayers and His spirit has told me so.

How I live my faith

I weekly attend my church meetings and am always happy that I do. Each day I try to speak with my Father in Heaven through prayer and study the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the scriptures or talks given in church magazines. This helps me have the spirit throughout the day so that I can avoid temptation and make the right choices. I try to be an example of one who is a follower of Christ.
