Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a college student studying computer science, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm attending college. I am studying Computer Science and hope to go into the field of software development. My dreams lie with starting and raising a family. In my free time I love singing, playing piano, reading, and spending time with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church. I trusted my parents and my youth leaders that living the gospel and doing what's right would bring me happiness. As I got into middle and high school where I was one of only two or three members, I was the one that people at school would go to in order to let out their worries and frustrations. In hearing their stories, I could see as a third party observer that they could have avoided much of their problems by having the gospel in their life, and living the standards that I had been taught. This, along with my faith in Jesus Christ and his gospel here on Earth that only continues to grow over the years, is why I'm a Mormon. It brings me more happiness than I can even begin to appreciate.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the words of the ancient prophets in the Bible and Book of Mormon, and by reading and listening to the words of the modern-day prophets. I also pray, attend my church services, and help coordinate activities for the women in my local church that will foster spiritual growth and unity among us. I am very busy all of the time between a full course load, two part time jobs, searching for summer internships, and the time I spend at church. However, I find that the gospel brings a balance to my life and somehow I get everything done. I rely heavily on my Heavenly Father through prayer to keep going, even when it seems impossible.
