Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the small town of Page, AZ and was the oldest child in a family with 7 kids. I loved to water ski on Lake Powell! When I got out of high school I couldn't wait to get out of Page, but I've missed it ever since. I served as a missionary for the Church in Wisconsin. Upon my return I went to work and have been working for the same company ever since (25 years). I met my beautiful wife in 1987 and we were married in the Mesa, AZ temple in 1990. We have five wonderful children! Our family has lived in the Prescott Valley, AZ area since 2002. It feels like home here. When I'm not working I enjoy watching my kids play sports. I like to read books. I like to ride horses. I enjoy shooting and collecting guns. I like to hunt, but I'm not very good at it yet. Currently, I also enjoy spending time lifting weights, running and bike riding.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. I was baptized by my dad when I was eight years old. My upbringing was strict, and while I rebelled against it for a time, I knew that what I had been taught at home and in the Church was right and true. I knew the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true, and I wanted the blessings that it brings in my life. Today, I am so grateful for the Church and Gospel in my life. The knowledge that God knows and loves me, that Jesus suffered and died for ME, and that I can live for eternity with them, and my family, is wonderful to me!

How I live my faith

My family and I are active in our home ward. We attend church meetings each week, and are able to partake of the sacrament (bread and water) to remember what Jesus has done for us. There, we are also continually learning and growing. Like most members, I have opportunities to serve in my ward. Service in the Church is rewarding and brings blessings to our lives. At home we try and do things together as a family. We sit down and eat meals together. We play and work together. We pray together. Sometimes we read scriptures together. Life often gets in the way, and we don't do these things as often as we should. But we know by doing them it brings us closer together as a family and brings love and unity into our home.
